Disneyland!

A few weeks before our trip to California, I was able to reunite with one of my old roommates, Sarah, from Ricks on Facebook. She lives in California, so when I told her that I would be coming there for a visit, we made plans to get together. Grandma and Grandpa Hadley were gracious enough to join me to help with the kids (although it really didn't take much persuasion) since we were going before Billy flew in.

Allison LOVED this fountain out in front of the entrance to the park. We ate breakfast at a little restuarant nearby, and she kept trying to escape the fenced in eating area to go and watch it. After breakfast was over, we spent quite a while watching all the different ways the water came shooting out!

After watching the fountain, we went to the World of Disney shop so Grandma and Grandpa could buy Allison her very first princess dress! We decided that Cinderella was most suitable for "Princess Allison" and so here she is all decked out. Allison found the Pooh Pops herself, and we couldn't leave the store without them. She chose these over Mickey Pops because they had a purple one - the color that she has taken a recent liking to! (She's eating the blue one instead of purple because we thought the lollipop drool would blend better on Cinderella's dress!)

Disney really goes all out for Christmas! They decorate the entire park and do NOT cut any corners! Here is Tyler at the base of the 65-foot Christmas tree! They also make it "snow" after the fireworks show at the end of the night!

I just love this shot of the back of Allison. I really wanted to get her picture with Cinderella, but there was over an hour wait to "meet the princesses." Since we only had a day to spend at the park, we decided this wouldn't be the best use of our time. Maybe next time...

Although this was a very sunny spot, I thought this picture of Tyler turned out perfect with Walt and Mickey and the castle in the background.

The Merry-go-Round is one of Allison's favorite rides!

And Tyler really likes it too.

Here we are on the Dumbo ride. Notice Tyler and Grandpa in the background. Tyler was so hopeful to get the green Dumbo (his favorite color) and, as you can see, he got his wish!

Perhaps Tyler was a bit nervous about Peter Pan's Flight! I started out the ride holding Allison's hand....

.....but had to switch to Tyler's about halfway through. He aparently didn't like the dark, starry night sky we rode through!

The spinning Tea Cups went over much better! Tyler's friend is Sarah's little girl, Hollie.
Getting dizzy is SO MUCH FUN!

Tyler was very excited to get to pose with his first character of the day!

Not so much for Allison though!

And a trip to Dineyland wouldn't be complete without a visit with Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

What a fun and exhausting day!

Of course I remember you! Sorry I haven't responded until now. As a fellow mother I'm sure you know that it's hard to find time to use the internet w/o some monkey on your back. Well, thanks for your comments and I'm glad I get to see your beautiful family! Tell Vanessa hey for me!
